Football fever has also gripped the racing drivers at Audi. And that includes Audi's Oliver Jarvis. At the official DTM presentation in Düsseldorf, the Audi driver from Great Britain was promoting the star-studded tournament in the Allianz Arena. The DTM driver's 480-bhp racecar appeared at the presentation sporting a special paint finish for the Audi Cup 2009.
"I'll be in Munich for the Audi Cup"
FC Bayern Munich, Manchester United, AC Milan and Boca Juniors – the teams competing for the Audi Cup could not be more prestigious. Football fan Oliver Jarvis finds it hard to name his favourite. "Of course first of all I'll be crossing my fingers for my fellow countrymen at Man U," says the 25-year-old Brit. But I also admire stars like Bayern's Franck Ribéry – I'll be in Munich for the Audi Cup."
Winning start to 2009 DTM season
Works driver Oliver Jarvis piloted his Audi A4 DTM in Audi Cup look to third place in the season’s opening race at Hockenheim. This was the 25-year-old Brit’s first podium finish of his DTM career. He drives one of last year’s A4 cars for Audi Sport Team Phoenix. Tom Kristensen (Denmark), Timo Scheider (Germany) and Markus Winkelhock (Germany) finished first, second and fourth respectively, giving AUDI AG a one-two-three-four victory and therefore the best start to a DTM season in its history.
