Audi Tradition100 years of Audi in Zwickau, Saxony

“100 Years of Audi” – a very special anniversary for the brand with the four-ring emblem, which it naturally also wished to celebrate in Zwickau in Saxony, where the brand was founded. On July 25, 2009 Audi Tradition staged a cavalcade of motor sport cars from yesterday and today.

Well-known racing drivers attended, including world rally champion Stig Blomqvist, three-times Le Mans winner Dindo Capello and Harald Demuth, German rally champion in two seasons.

Audi Rallye quattro A2 dating from 1984, Audi Sport quattro S1 from 1985, Audi 200 quattro TransAm from 1988, Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO from 1989, Audi V8 quattro DTM from 1992, Audi R8 LMS from 2009 and a Type D racing car with two-stage supercharger dating from 1939.
