In the meantime Benoît Tréluyer is, like his team mate André Lotterer, a European racing driver who is better known in Asia than in his homeland. The Frenchman+ competes regularly in Japan since the 2000 season. Several Japanese championship titles in single-seaters and GT racing characterize his career. After five previous Le Mans starts Audi only signed the Frenchman last year. He expressed his thanks for the chance with a great result: he finished second in the famous endurance race first time out for Audi.
Tréluyer comes from Alençon 50 kilometers north of Le Mans, is married to Melanie and has a son.
