Audi and FC Ingolstadt 04: the brand with the four rings and the region's most successful football club have been partners ever since the club's founding in 2004.
In the new stadium, the Audi Sportpark, the club's fans will certainly be getting behind the newly promoted team in some hotly contested derbies and against famous, big-name teams.
In 2010 the "jewellery box" holding 15,000 spectators was officially opened with an impressive tournament and lots of attractions, meaning that FC Ingolstadt now has a suitable venue for the second division of the Bundesliga.
AUDI AG will continue to act as the main sponsor and be featured on the team's shirts, with a wide ranging presence in and around the stadium.
"In the future, the club will be facing fresh challenges that could be very difficult to handle without the support of strong partners. Through its increased level of involvement, Audi is acknowledging the successful, purposeful and forward-looking work that FC Ingolstadt is doing," declared Frank Dreves, AUDI AG Board of Management Member for Production. Together with Dr. Wagener, Head of the Central Legal Service at AUDI AG, he represents Audi as a member of the Supervisory Board of FC Ingolstadt.
AUDI AG is also supporting its partner FC Ingolstadt 04 in the establishment of the "Audi Schanzer Football Academy." The core activities of the Audi Schanzer Football Academy comprise football camps on the one hand, and training for young talents on the other hand. The camps are open to children aged between five and 14, each lasting five days during the school holidays. There are at least 20 events a year. Between 70 and 80 children take part in each course. They are looked after by six or seven coaches and supported by professionals from FC Ingolstadt 04.
