Operation
The brake system service parts subjected to the highest levels of stress are the brake discs and the brake pads. The friction contact surfaces must therefore be in perfect condition. Together with the brake linings, the brake disc generates a so-called braking torque. When the braking torque is generated, kinetic energy is converted into heat.
